These are sections F-51 through F-54 of the book of information issued by the Ludlow Typograph Company to its sales force. This particular copy of this book is No. 47, current through 1962. It appears here through the courtesy of its present owner, Jeff Shay. These sections cover the matrix fonts for Ludlow typeface families No. 51 (Formal Script), No. 52 (Florentine), No. 53 (Wave), and No. 54 (Times new Roman).
Note that Formal Script is one of the few Ludlow faces which requires a special 40 degree italic stick and related equipment.
At the time this book was published, No. 54 (Times New Roman) was in preparation. Ludlow later issued No. 55 (Zephyr), No. 57 (Parkway Script), and No. 58 (Clarendon); No. 56 is unknown and may not have been issued.
